Signing up for the Selective Service

Renting an apartment

Did you know that once you turn 18 you can live on your own? Finding a place to live can be a challenge. Once you find some options, fill out the applications. You will need pay stubs, ID and a security deposit. 

Getting a drivers license

Buying a car

Did you know that you can buy a car? You can either pay cash for a fixer upper or apply for a car loan. Take your trusted adult with you to look around at car dealerships or private posts. Make sure to check the car over thoroughly and research the value of car before talking price. Don't jump at the first car you see, be patient, do your resource and have fun!

Giving Consent

Did you know that once you turn 18 you have to give consent for your parents or guardians to have access to your financial information? It is pretty easy, just call your school or bank and request a information release form.

Registering to Vote

Did you know that once you have a job you need to file taxes? You have until April 15th every year to submit your tax info to the IRS. You just need your W2 that you get from job. 

Getting married
